Greetings Firebirds!

My name is Ms. Yang and I am very excited to join the team here at Frontier Elementary and Westside Preparatory Charter School - Frontier Campus. I started working in the district over 14 years ago, as a receptionist.  Most recently, I was the vice principal at Ridgepoint School, just a little over a mile away. For several years, I also taught middle school Math, Science and Engineering. 

My passion for education stems from my desire to enable students to reach their full potential. I was given the opportunity to fully embrace my potential through education and in doing so, it opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. It is my vision to see that every child has the same opportunity and resource to challenge themself to achieve beyond their measure. 

I feel very fortunate to have been selected to see my vision live, here at Frontier. These are unprecedented times we live in; however, I fully believe our teachers and staff will rise to the occasion and as a village, we will push our students prosper through the year, successfully. 

A little bit about myself. I have been with my husband for 13 years. We have two high-energy, loving children. My daughter, Abigail, is six years old and is currently in first grade. My son, Aiden, is four and is starting Transitional Kindergarten this year. Like many of you, I will be working full time while supporting my children through their “Zooming” education. I ask for your forgiveness in advance if you happen to see their faces pop up in a Zoom meeting here or there!

Although we cannot be together in person now, I know we will be back together on campus one day. Your safety and the safety of our children is our top priority. I look forward to when it is safe for us all to return together and hugs can be shared.
